Expertise

• Marc is a Partner with over 25 years’ experience, specialising in real estate and commercial contracts. He deals with all aspects of commercial property, with particular expertise in structuring complex real estate acquisitions and sales, as well as development and landlord and tenant matters.
• Marc also advises financial institutions, corporates and funds in relation to arranging and documenting domestic and international bank facilities and structured financing. He has a broad range of finance experience, with particular expertise in advising borrowers and lenders in relation to real estate investment and development finance.
• In addition to real estate work, Marc advises clients in relation to their commercial contracts and represents a diverse mix of clients in the sports and media sectors, including clubs, agencies, athletes, technology companies and financial institutions.

Experience Highlights

• Advising a developer client in relation to a series of acquisitions, financing and disposals of a residential property portfolio of 225 houses in the North of England for aggregate consideration of circa £20m;
• Acting for a Premier League manager on the £15m acquisition and subsequent redevelopment a £20m house in Chelsea, London;
• Acting for a major social housing developer client on the refinancing of a residential development scheme in Hammersmith, West London with a loan of £40m;
• Advising a global branding and events company in relation to their contractual arrangements with Dominos Pizza UK Ltd;
• Acting for and advising one of the joint venture partners in relation to the redevelopment of Liverpool FC football stadium, as part of an urban regeneration scheme, in joint venture with Liverpool City Council;
• Acting for an internationally renowned sportsman in relation to their personal and professional affairs, including advising on their contractual arrangements with various sponsors and intermediaries.
• Acting on commercial lettings of multi-let office and retail premises for aggregate annual rents of circa £4m.
